Farmer, aka Fabrizio De André, has a story that's hard to believe — though by far not as uncommon as it should be.
For a while he lived chained outside a family home, without enough food or water. His owners sent us his photo and asked if we’d take him in exchange for building materials we were collecting to build kennels. We refused — we don’t trade dogs.
So they unchained him and kicked him out on the street. A perfectly normal response… if you’ve never known what it means to care for another living being.
Not long after, the police called about a “dangerous dog” frightening people outside a shop. We came immediately. One look and we knew — it was little Fabrizio. A scared, confused pup.
That was four years ago already.
Since then, this fluffy cloud of joy has been with us. Fabri is affectionate, loves fetch, cuddles, and long walks. He’s great on a leash, loves the company of other dogs and gets along well even with farm animals.
Fabri has the soul of a poet — gentle, charming, and full of spark. Despite everything, he’s never stopped trusting people.
