Đeki was given up as a puppy — not because he did anything wrong, but because he was a little too full of energy for the elderly person who adopted him. She came to us asking if she could exchange him for an older dog… and Đeki stayed behind. That was almost five years ago already…
He’s a quiet soul. Sensitive, sweet, and gentle with both dogs and people. He was bullied in his first kennel, so now he lives with our senior dogs, where everything is calm — just the way he likes it.
Once he had fear triggered small epileptic episodes, but it’s been a long time since the last one. He’s had a full vet check, and he’s healthy.
Leash walks were scary at first. He’s learned to walk with one now, though he still worries a little when it’s time to go out. Past experiences can leave deep marks, but Đeki tries, every day. He’s perfect indoors, peaceful, and loving. What he needs now is someone with patience, kindness, and time — someone who sees the quiet beauty in a dog like him.
