Đuro is a special little boy who will need an experienced, patient guardian who understands his boundaries and is willing to build trust at his pace. He is sensitive about his back and does not like being touched there by people he doesn’t know, especially if approached from behind. He has a scar on the left side of his back and likely had some negative experiences in the past. With people he trusts, he is happy to be touched and picked up, but gentle, respectful handling is important.

Đuro is very food-motivated and would happily eat all day if allowed, so portion control will be important to keep him at a healthy weight. When he trusts someone, he listens very well—he responds to familiar voices and can be redirected from things like bins or unwanted behavior.

Once he feels safe, Đuro is a funny and affectionate little character who loves being the center of attention and staying close to his people. He enjoys a comfy bed and prefers low furniture or steps, as he can’t jump very high.

He is also playful and full of personality—in the mornings he loves to chase socks, trying to convince you not to leave!

Đuro would do best in an experienced, calm home where his boundaries are respected. In the right environment, he will be a loyal, entertaining, and very loving companion.
