Our Animals Have a Name, a Story, and a Soul

Our shelter wouldn’t exist without our volunteers — people who give their time, care, and love every day to animals that were once forgotten.

Farmica exists because we refused to accept that stray animals are an unavoidable problem. What began as a small civic initiative — taking dogs off the streets, opening our own homes to them, and paying out of pocket for temporary shelter — has grown into a permanent refuge built through persistence, community support, and hard work. Our mission is to provide immediate safety for stray, abandoned and mistreated dogs, offering shelter, food, medical care, and stability to animals who would otherwise be invisible and unprotected

Beyond daily care, our work is focused on long-term change. We actively reduce suffering and overpopulation through sterilization programs, rehabilitation of traumatized dogs, and responsible rehoming into permanent, loving homes. Equally important to us is public education: challenging indifference, promoting responsible ownership, and advocating for humane, sustainable solutions to animal welfare. With the help of dedicated staff, volunteers and supporters, we work every day to prove that every life matters — and that action, not sympathy alone, is what truly changes lives.
